[ ] Graham Greene

THE Satriani of the South, Perth guitarist Graham Greene defied the odds (namely a shoulder injury and nerve damage in his hand) to put together this brilliant album, all instrumental bar 'Fire In Your Liberty', which features his wife Donna on vocals. As for the rest, Greene plays every instrument.

Mixing soaring melodic '80s-style lead with frenzied tapping, neo-classical displays of fret-wizardry ("Hell And Bach"), stabbing harmonics and talk box ("Vowels Of The Earth"). Greene travels with flair and grace through a variety of styles, from 'ballads' to metal and blues ("CJ's Blues"), and comes out the other side a certified rock god.

[ ] Urban Stone

Their original material has been described as a "VERY CATCHY", fresh, funk/hip form of rock, with an oldschool 80's melodic rock god edge. Their lyrics are usually dark & emotive, complimented by feelgood uplifiting catchy choruses. Their music is very dynamic. Recently, they have extended their versatility by writing some punker rock, melodic metal, smooth acoustic/powerpop & even some OZ hip-rock (laughs) to add some real light & shade to their original repertoir. They play well over 100 cover songs, ranging from the rockin' 70's & 80's, to the current top 50 (including some revamped rocked up versions & medleys of their own). Basically, a little something

With influences from bands such as AC/DC, Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Kreator & Megadeth (to name a few) Atomesquad write & perform music that is original, in your face, and different to all styles of lame “Nu Metal” that everyone is flooded with in todays metal scene.

The sound they produce as a band is however a different thing. It's indie yet in-your-face, progressive but powerful - at times emotional but always driven with an energy born out of their turbulent period.

"We like to think of our sound as "punchy" says Steve. With sweetly distorted riffs and driving rhythms, it's a buoyant live sound but one thing's for sure ... "Call us anything you like but we're not retro," says Steve "We're always pushing ourselves, our attitude and our sound so each song sounds unique".
