[] Guitar Heroes: Guitar Fest 2007

Guitar Heroes:Guitar Fest 2007 happens from Friday 5th to Sunday 7th October. This is a week after the NRL and AFL Grand Finals in Sydney ...and it will give punters and music industry a refreshing opportunity to switch cultures. They will revel in an avalanche of great guitar playing – in an exciting variety of styles – at many venues across the Balmain Peninsular! Australia's best profiled players will be strutting their stuff, and it will be
a rare opportunity for them to be heard and compared in the concentrated format of the program.

Starting with a bang on the Friday night at the Bridge Hotel, the event will commence with a star studded version of Steve Flack’s Guitar Heroes show. The lineup is currently being confirmed, but includes such performers as Dennis Wilson (Kahvas Jute) and Bob Spencer (Choirboys, the Angels, Skyhooks), backed by Steve’s band that consists of Mick O’Shea (Judge Mercy, Pete Wells Band), and Drum Media’s inimitable Michael Smith!

The Guitar Heroes;Guitar Fest will include Australia's Best Guitar Player Competition at The Bridge Hotel on the Sunday afternoon, 7th October. The contest is supported by Australian Guitar Magazine, and will open up industry doors for the winner. At this event, the Special Guest will be the Guitar Shaman of OZ, otherwise known as the fastest fingers in the west, West Australia's own Guitar Hero Graham Greene.

For those with the necessary skills, there will be the All Genre Guitar Busking Competition taking place in the Balmain CBD across the weekend. Big prizes, including guitar packs and cash, go to the ultimate winner and placegetters, whose selection will be influenced by the participation of the crowd!

If that is not enough, there is the Music Lifestyle Expo over two big days at Balmain Town Hall, featuring entertainment, trade exhibits, clinics and workshops. Music Lifestyle Expo will climax each day with showcases featuring endorsed players of high repute.

So, for those who love rock, country, blues, metal, jazz, classical, funk or anything else that can be expressed on an axe, Guitar Heroes:Guitar Fest 2007 is the time to step up and sample Australia's hottest National and International Guitarists.
