Being launched in Sydney, Fri 5th - Sun 7th October 2007, is the Guitar Heroes: Guitar Fest, an exciting salute to the Guitar and Guitarists from all musical genres. Guitar Heroes: Guitar Fest will feature profiled players from Rock, Metal, Country, Blues, Jazz, Funk and Classical. A hot mix of International and National Guitarists are being included in this Guitar Celebration.
Cole Clark endorsed International Blues exponent Lloyd Spiegel and the Guitar Shaman from Oz Graham Greene, endorsed by Ormsby Guitars, are just two in the pipeline for Guitar Heroes:Guitar Fest 2007.
Based on the Balmain Peninsula, the long term natural habitat of many musicians, Guitar Heroes: Guitar Fest involves live entertainment featuring Guitar Based Acts revolving around the nucleus, the Guitar Lifestyle Expo, being staged at Balmain Tigers Sat. Sept.29th and Sun. Sept.30th.
Renowned for their commitment to Live Music, Balmain-Rozelle Venues have long supported the creative art of the Guitarist.
Venues such as the Cat and the Fiddle, Unity Hall, Balmain RSL, Bridge Hotel, Exchange Hotel, Commercial Hotel, William Wallace Hotel have all played their part in exposing and nurturing musical acts on the Balmain Peninsula.
Acts such as the Hippos, Mighty Reapers, Backsliders, ForeDay Riders, Chasin’ The Train, Flood, Richard Clapton, Alex Lloyd, Mitch Grainger etc. have all moved through these venues on their musical journey.
Focussed on the needs of the guitarist, the Guitar Lifestyle Expo aim is to provide a networking, commercial environment for organic guitar makers, first and foremost, followed by guitar retail, guitar needs and accessories.
As the Expo is information and experience based - seminars, workshops and clinics will be a huge part of the program. Respected industry identities and endorsed players will conduct the seminars, workshops and clinics delivering the learning essentials to attendees.
The major aim of the Guitar Lifestyle Expo is to have an annual common meeting place for Guitar Nuts, be they professional, semi-professional, amateur or just starting out.
The event is all about information and entertainment with an invitation to music industry and public to attend and sample the Guitar Lifestyle Expo.
Being based on the Balmain Peninsula, The Guitar Heroes: Guitar Fest lends itself to easy central access from all parts of Sydney whether it is the Sydney CBD, Eastern Suburbs, North Shore, Inner Urban or Western Sydney.
This exciting inaugural event provides an opportunity for Sydney to have it’s own Guitar based event in an area known for it’s long association with performance art’s and culture.
